Keepsakes that keep telling stories
It all began with a question
What happens to travel keepsakes once we get home? Many end up in a drawer: lovely, but silent.
We wanted something different. We wanted what you take home from Ecuador to keep speaking to you: a child in Quito or Toronto hugging a jaguar and, through it, discovering a Waorani legend; a traveller coming home with a macaw and, without noticing, with a piece of Cañari history.
What we believe
A hug opens the door
First comes the love for the character. Then, curiosity about the place it comes from.
Tell, don’t teach
We speak like a friend inviting you to discover, never like a lesson or a sales pitch.
Respect for their voices
Every story belongs to a people. We tell it citing where it comes from and checking our sources.
The journey continues at home
Every character has friends in other regions. There is always something more to discover.
For those who leave and for those who stay
For visitors, a character is the most tender way to take a whole country home: its mountains, its rainforest, its islands and the stories told in them.
For Ecuadorian children, it is a way to meet their own land with wonder: the animals that live there and the stories their grandparents still remember.

“The journey doesn’t end when you take your character home. That’s where the story begins.”
